Project Name: City of Edgewood’s Interurban Trail Phase III

Recipient: City of Edgewood

Amount Requested: $12,000,000

Project Description and Explanation: The funding would be used to support the construction of a one-mile-long segment of the Interurban Trail, completing one of the last remaining gaps between the West Valley Highway and 114th Avenue East in Pierce County.

Project Name: City of Fircrest’s Alameda Ave-Emerson Street to Rosewood Lane Pedestrian and Bicyclist Improvements 

Recipient: City of Fircrest 

Address: 115 Ramsdell Street, Fircrest, WA 98466 

Amount Requested: $1,475,624 

Project Description and Explanation: This funding would be used to enable much-needed connectivity between existing sidewalks on Emerson Street and Rosewood Lane, increasing recreational opportunities for all community members. 

Project Name: City of Olympia’s Armory Redevelopment Project 

Recipient: City of Olympia 

Address: 601 4th Avenue East, Olympia, WA, 98501 

Amount Requested: $986,000 

Project Description and Explanation: The funding would be used to support the acquisition and installation of an elevator located at 515 Eastside Street SE, Olympia, WA, 98601 as a part of the critical first phase of the Olympia Armory construction, including essential life safety, accessibility, and structural improvements to ensure building code compliance. 

Project Name: City of Puyallup’s Meeker Street Improvement Project 

Recipient: City of Puyallup 

Address: 333 S Meridian, Puyallup WA 98371 

Amount Requested: $850,000 

Project Description and Explanation: The project would be used for several safety components and upgrades on E Meeker St between Meridian and 3rd St SE, including new ADA detectable warning plates, enhanced high visibility pedestrian crossings, new curbs, new vehicular signage, bollards for pedestrian protection, specialty pavement, wider sidewalks, and traffic calming features such as narrowing vehicle travel lanes to encourage safe driving speeds. 

Project Name: City of Roy Water Infrastructure project  

Recipient: City of Roy  

Address: 216 McNaught St S PO Box 700 Roy, WA 98580-0700  

Amount Requested: $700,000 

Project Description and Explanation: The funding would be used for a new water tower, water reservoir, water filtration, relocation of one of the water wells, and potential re-piping. 

Project Name: City of Tacoma’s Fire Engine Replacement

Recipient: City of Tacoma

Address: 747 Market Street, Tacoma, WA 98402

Amount Requested: $2,200,000

Project Description and Explanation: This funding would be used to support the purchase of two new pumper engines for Fire Station 11, located at 3802 McKinley Ave, Tacoma, WA 98404, to enhance the department’s ability to combat the substantial number of wildland fires encountered annually, increase apparatus availability, improve operational efficiency, and enhance firefighter and community safety.

Project Name: City of Tenino’s Regional Meat Processing Infrastructure 

Recipient: City of Tenino 

Address: 149 Hodgen Street, S, Tenino, WA 98589 

Amount Requested: $2,250,000 

Project Description and Explanation: This funding would be used to close the gap in regional-scale meat processing infrastructure in the central and south Puget Sound region, creating a local meat supply chain that will provide reliable processing infrastructure for local producers, increasing revenue for up to 100 ranchers, increase local food production for regional consumers, and make our region more resilient and responsive to disruptions. 

Project Name: City of University Place’s Chambers Bay Access 

Recipient: City of University Place 

Address: 3609 Market Place W. Suite 200 University Place, WA 98466 

Amount Requested: $300,000 

Project Description and Explanation: The funding would be used to fully realize improvements in safety, traffic capacity, and regional access that require funding beyond the City’s current budget. 

Project Name: City of Yelm Downtown Business Revitalization Strategy 

Recipient: City of Yelm 

Address: 106 Second St. SE, Yelm, WA 98597. 

Amount Requested: $2,000,000 

Project Description and Explanation: The funding would be used for the design and engineering of its Downtown Business Revitalization Strategy, which will improve key streets in Yelm’s historic core. Project elements include sidewalk construction, street lighting, pedestrian crossings, traffic calming, and right-of-way acquisition—supporting safer, more accessible streets and revitalizing the local economy. 

Project Name: Joint Base Lewis-McChord Fire Station 105 

Recipient: Joint Base Lewis-McChord 

Address: Joint Base HQs, Box 339500, Mail Stop 1AA, Joint Base Lewis-McChord WA 98433-9500 

Amount Requested: $68,095,000 

Project Description and Explanation: The funding would be used for construction of the Joint Base Lewis-McChord Airfield Fire & Rescue Station. 

Project Name: Pierce Transit’s System-Wide ADA Signage Improvements  

Recipient: Pierce County Public Transportation Benefit Area Corporation (DBA Pierce Transit) 

Address: 3701 96th St. SW, Lakewood, WA 98499 

Amount Requested: $1,189,020 

Project Description and Explanation: The funding would be used to increase ADA accessibility within its transportation service areas with braille/tactile (raised lettering) signs to better serve individuals who are blind, deaf-blind, or low vision and promote ADA community confidence and independence to use public transportation as their primary mode of transportation, ultimately increasing ridership. 

Project Name: Tacoma Housing Authority’s Salishan-Hillside Phase I 

Recipient: Tacoma Housing Authority 

Address: This funding would be used to modernize core systems such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing to improve energy efficiency, as well as update key interior and exterior finishes to enhance aesthetic appeal and durability. 

Amount Requested: $5,000,000 

Project Name: Thurston County Fairgrounds Emergency Evacuation and Agricultural Center 

Recipient: Thurston County Fairgrounds 

Address: 3054 Carpenter Rd SE, Lacey, WA 98503 

Amount Requested: $4,000,000 

Project Description and Explanation: The funding would be used to bolster rural resilience and agricultural emergency preparedness in Washington State, particularly for livestock owners in the ranching-centric Thurston County. 

Project Name: Washington Air National Guard – Western Air Defense Sector – Generator Replacement 

Recipient: Washington Air National Guard 

Address: 852 Lincoln Blvd, JBLM WA 98438 

Amount Requested: $2,800,000 

Project Description and Explanation: The Western Air Defense Sector, with headquarters at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, is one of two sectors responsible to the Continental U.S. North American Aerospace Defense Command Region (CONR) and the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) for peacetime air sovereignty, strategic air defense, and airborne counterdrug operations in the continental United States. The generator ensures mission continuity during power failures enabling continuous monitoring of sovereign airspace.
