Project Description and Explanation: The funding would be used to replace intersections with roundabouts. Under the current conditions, there are significant backups that are experienced both during the peak AM and peak PM hours.
Project Name: Alameda Ave – Emerson Street to Rosewood Lane Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvement project

Project Description and Explanation: The funding would be used to implement safe and accessible pedestrian pathways compliant with ADA standards, the introduction of designated bike lanes, and measures to heighten driver awareness and promote yielding behaviors, particularly in areas frequented by school-age children.
Project Name: Body Worn Camera Equipment & Technology project

Project Description and Explanation: The project would be used to support the acquisition of body worn cameras allowing for the investment in vital tools that help maintain public safety goals. Funding will also provide every officer and patrol vehicle with updated technology to ensure consistency across the department.

Project Description and Explanation: The project would be used to reconfigure the intersection of 64th Street West and Chambers Creek Road from a 3-leg stop controlled intersection to a roundabout. The Project will involve regrading and realigning the intersection to improve traffic flow and sight distance for motorists. The project serves existing populations experiencing serious safety concerns due to the level and type of vehicular traffic in the project site and supports sustainable future economic development.

Project Description and Explanation: The funding would be used to revitalize their water infrastructure including a new water tower, water reservoir, water filtration, relocation of one of our water wells, and potential re-piping. The project will help the city provide quality water services that includes increasing pressure for residents, clearing out “brown” or “tinted” water from homes, reducing the amount of PFAS and other toxins that residents are exposed to, and create a long-lasting water infrastructure that the community can depend on.
Project Name: Emergency Coordination Center Generator project

Project Description and Explanation: The project would facilitate the purchase of a generator to keep the Emergency Coordination Center (ECC) operational. The ECC would have enough space to maintain City operations for over 72 hours and serve as the City’s central coordination point for large-scale emergency operations.

Project Description and Explanation: The project improves water quality runoff into the Puget Sound and provides habitat for aquatic and terrestrial species. The Garrison Springs Creek Restoration is part of a broader effort to convert fallow former industrial land to a vibrant community asset, with access to nature, a community park, housing, bike/pedestrian connections, and water access.

Project Description and Explanation: The funding would be used to create a pedestrian-oriented, flexible space that will encourage redevelopment and investment in downtown, including a planned mixed-use housing development. In addition, it will include pedestrian infrastructure improvements such as upgraded ADA ramps, curb extensions, sidewalk widening, and enhanced pedestrian signals.

Project Description and Explanation: The project increases ADA accessibility within its transportation service areas with braille/tactile (raised lettering) signs and ConnectPoint real-time signage to promote ADA community confidence and independence to use public transportation as their primary mode of transportation.
Project Name: Pipeline Trail – Fruitland to Nathan Chapman Trail Connection project

Project Description and Explanation: The funding would be used to allow the trail segment to be constructed in 2025-2026 in conjunction with the trailhead/park facility. This project improves neighborhoods and provides direct active transportation options for low- and mid–income families and persons with disabilities who need affordable means to reach school, business, and community services.
