Keeping It Local
U.S. Representative Marilyn Strickland announced $1.5 million in federal funding for the Town of Steilacoom and partners to support the Garrison Springs Creek Restoration Project.
U.S. Representative Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) announced her December Constituent Spotlight, Katelyn Cleland. Katelyn is a South Sound resident who has recently been awarded the Bronze Medal Congressional Award for her efforts in community service and personal development.

After visiting Lincoln High School, U.S. Representative Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) announced $555 thousand in federal funding for Tacoma Public Schools to support their student career development program called the Tacoma Professional Pipeline Project.

Strickland Secures Provisions To Evaluate Pay, Improve Housing Supply, Strengthen Food Security, & More In Annual Defense Bill
U.S. Representative Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) released a statement after the House of Representatives passed this year’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Strickland secured several provisions to address quality-of-life issues facing servicemembers in the FY2024 NDAA.
Strickland, Sens. Murray and Budd Introduce Bipartisan, Bicameral Legislation to Retain Skilled Nurses in Military Health Care System
Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) and U.S. Senators Patty Murray (D-WA) and Ted Budd (R-NC), introduced new bipartisan, bicameral legislation aimed at addressing the nursing staff shortages in the military health care system as personnel shortages remain a major issue for patients and staff at Department of Defense (DoD) healthcare facilities.
U.S. Representative Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) alongside Rep. Bryan Steil (WI-01) and Rep. Ann Kuster (NH-02) introduced the bipartisan Care Across Generations Act. The bill would establish a grant program for long-term care facilities to operate or contract with a child care program and facilitate intergenerational activities.
