This week, Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) announced her Constituent Spotlight on Kahne Loftus, a 17-year-old from Rainier. Loftus is being recognized for his “Kahne’s Kare Packages” which sends care packages to U.S. troops overseas.
“Kahne is an exemplary young person who has shown respect and pride in our nation,” said Strickland. “He knows that those serving overseas deserve support and care from us all. I am proud to recognize him and his incredible work in my first Constituent Spotlight.”
“It is such an honor to be recognized by the Congresswoman as part of her Constituent Spotlight program,” said Loftus. “Kahne’s Kare Packages has grown over the years and I remain committed to supporting our troops.”
Throughout the year, Kahne raises money and hosts fundraisers where he sells his own handmade items. All proceeds go towards care packages for U.S. troops who are overseas. In 2022, Loftus shipped 108 care packages.
