About the Congressional App Challenge

The Congressional App Challenge is an app coding competition for U.S. middle and high school students. Individual students or teams can submit their software application (app) designed for mobile, tablet, or other computing devices using the platform of their choice. The U.S. House of Representatives created the competition to encourage and highlight student involvement in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education.

Student apps will be judged by a group of computer science leaders from the district. The competition winner will be recognized by Congresswoman Strickland at a ceremony, have their app featured on the House of Representatives website, and be invited to the #HouseOfCode celebration in Washington, DC.
