Strickland Announces 2026 Congressional Art Competition Winner

Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) announced Camille Franco, a junior at the Schools of the Arts in Tacoma, Washington as the 2026 Congressional Art Competition winner for Washington’s 10th Congressional District. Franco was selected by a panel of judges for her painting featuring her herself as a child and her grandmother. Franco’s painting will be displayed in the United States Capitol for one year.
Strickland Secures $850K for Affordable Housing in Tacoma

This month, Congresswoman Strickland announced $850,000 in federal funding to the Tacoma Housing Authority for subsidized housing renovations.

Strickland Introduces Childcare Access Bill
Bill Expands Access to Childcare for Parenting Students

This month, Congresswoman Strickland introduced the Childcare Access for all Recognized Education for Parenting Students Act (CARE for Parenting Students Act). The bill will expand access to federal childcare assistance for parenting students, regardless of the type of education or workforce training they are pursuing.
