Rep. Marilyn Strickland became the first Korean American woman elected to Congress and first Black representative from Washington state to serve in the House when she was elected in 2020. Rep. Strickland tells MSNBC’s Ali Velshi that Donald Trump attacks on Vice President Harris’ racial identity instead of policy because “he has nothing… to his base, her identity is something that is a liability. To [Democrats], is an asset.”
