Next week, most families across our district will begin receiving monthly Child Tax Credit payments of up to $300 per child.
These crucial payments, which I fought to include in the American Rescue Plan, will reach 1.4 million children in Washington alone, including 48,200 families in our district, effectively lifting 7,100 of children in our community out of poverty. This program will put more money in the pockets of hardworking families, like yours. My hope is that these payments will help cover expenses and provide stability for your children until our family fully recovers. By responding to this survey, you are subscribing to important newsletter updates from Congresswoman Strickland.
Payments will automatically be sent to families who are eligible for the credit and have 2020 or 2019 taxes beginning on Thursday, July 15th. If you already filed your federal taxes in those years, you do not need to take further action.

If you are not required to file federal taxes normally, you will need to sign up to get your family’s Child Tax Credit payments using the IRS tool below.
