I want to update you on my visits around the South Sound in the past month and show you what I have been doing to serve you in the other Washington. From visiting Summer Late Nights at Baker Middle School to announcing funding for the Pierce County Metro Dive Team, I have been busy listening to your concerns and fighting to deliver on the issues you care about.

Strickland Secures $247,731 For Pierce County Metro Dive Team

U.S. Representative Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) announced $247,731 in federal funding for the Pierce County Metro Dive Team to update diving equipment that has been in use for the last two decades.

Annual Vietnam Veteran’s Pinning Program for 2023

On Thursday, October 5th, 2023 from 11:00 A.M to 12:00 P.M. at Lacey City Hall, U.S. Rep. Marilyn Strickland will host a Vietnam War era Veterans Pinning Ceremony to honor local veterans in partnership with the U.S. Vietnam Veterans Pin Commission.

Strickland Announces Over $23 Million to Strengthen Washington State Power Grid

Washington state received a $23.4 million Grid Resilience State and Tribal Formula Grant from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to modernize the electric grid and reduce impacts due to extreme weather and natural disasters. Grid Resilience State and Tribal Formula Grants aim to ensure the reliability of power sector infrastructure so that communities have access to affordable, reliable, clean electricity.
