I wanted to update you on my work over the past month and what I have been doing to serve you in the other Washington. From delivering $13 million to the South Sound for community projects to launching the annual Art Competition and writing an op-ed about finding bipartisan support for our democratic allies, I have been listening to your concerns and fighting to deliver on the issues you care about.

This Women’s History Month we honor the many contributions of women in America. But we’re not done.

Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) announced that her office will begin accepting submissions for the 2024 Congressional Art Competition. This is an opportunity to recognize, honor, and encourage young artistic talent across the nation.

Constituent Spotlight: Chris Hyde

Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland announced her March Constituent Spotlight, Chris Hyde. Hyde is a long time Olympia resident and the founder of Souper Sunday, a popular Facebook group which aims to give free soup to anyone in need of a healthy and free meal.

Congresswoman Strickland’s Constituent Spotlight program recognizes exemplary South Sound residents. To nominate a resident of Washington’s 10th Congressional District, fill out this nomination form.

14 Community Projects Included in Federal Budget

Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland secured funding for fourteen South Sound projects that will increase affordable housing, boost public safety, enhance regional infrastructure and transit, and support our local food banks. The federal government funding package was signed into law this month.
