This week, Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) announced her Constituent Spotlight of Nadine Gerber from Olympia, WA. Gerber is being recognized for her work as President of the McLane Elementary Parent, Teacher, Student Organization (PTSO).

“Nadine is an asset to her community and works everyday to make sure all students succeed,” said Strickland. “She and the McLane Elementary School PTSO enhance learning experiences for students, assist teachers, and support families. I am proud to recognize Nadine and the McLane Elementary School PTSO for their incredible work in my Constituent Spotlight.”

“It is such an honor to be recognized by the Congresswoman as part of her Constituent Spotlight program,” said Gerber. “The PTSO includes everyone in the McLane Elementary community, and I am proud of our work to support families, teachers, and students through after school enrichment programs, fundraisers, and so much more.”

Throughout the year, the PTSO hosts fundraisers, events, and after school programs to support the growing McLane Elementary community. Recently, the PTSO partnered with a local swimming pool to arrange after school swim lessons that teach students the critical skill of swimming and builds their confidence in and around the water.

As a part of this spotlight, Congresswoman Strickland will be recognizing Nadine Gerber in the Congressional Record.
