Strickland Announces 2026 STEM Program Winner
Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) announced Suhaas Meka, as the winner of the inaugural 2026 Congressional STEM Award Program for Washington’s 10th Congressional District.

Supporting Craft Brewers in Olympia
Stopped by Olympia’s Well 80 Brewhouse, alongside the Washington Brewers Association and the Washington Brewers Guild to hear about the concerns of South Sound craft brewers and how the federal government can better support these small businesses and their employees.
Visit with the Indian American STAR Foundation
Congresswoman Strickland met with South Sound students and families from the Indian American STAR Foundation, a local youth organization offering programs in arts, culture, and education.

Strickland Leads Colleagues in Letter Slamming Administration’s Threats to Science
Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) sent a letter, alongside her democratic colleagues, to U.S. Office of Management and Budget Director Russell Vought, slamming the Administration’s proposed rule to change how scientific research is reviewed for federal grants – specifically jeopardizing rare disease research for minority communities.
Strickland Rejects Defense Bill Laced with Voter Suppression
Congresswoman Strickland released an official statement on her vote against H.R. 8800 National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2027 (NDAA), off the House floor.
Other Legislative Updates
- Voted to ditch the switch, and pass the Sunshine Protection Act, to achieve permanent Daylight Savings Time.
- Met with the Alliance 4 American Leadership to discuss the crucial role of USAID in supporting communities around the world and the ongoing work to restore its mission – especially after the Trump Administration illegally gutted USAID last year.
