This month, Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) announced the annual Valentines for Veterans and First Responders drive. Valentines will be distributed to veterans, servicemembers, police, firefighters, and EMS teams in Washington’s 10th Congressional District.

Submissions Open: Black History Month Essay Contest

The Congresswoman invites students in grades 7–12 in Washington’s 10th Congressional District to celebrate Black History Month with us by entering the Black History Essay Contest. 

Students should explore and craft essays that honor Black Washingtonians who have significantly impacted our region. This includes military veterans, civic leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, and many others.

Strickland Brings $1M to Yelm’s Historic Downtown

Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) announced $1,000,000 in federal funding to support the City of Yelm’s Downtown Business Revitalization Strategy, which will provide improvements to the city’s economy and core infrastructure.
