Lacey, WA – Today, Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) announced $1,000,000 in federal funding to support the City of Yelm’s Downtown Business Revitalization Strategy, which will provide improvements to the city’s economy and core infrastructure.
“Safety and accessibility are cornerstones of a growing and thriving community,” said Strickland. “This federal funding will help the City of Yelm improve road safety for residents and commuters, and revitalize their historic downtown.”
The project will design safer and more accessible elements for Yelm, including sidewalk construction, street lighting, pedestrian crossings, and traffic calming measures.
