March 22, 2024
Dear Friend,
I wanted to update you on my work over the past month and what I have been doing to serve you in the other Washington. From delivering $13 million to the South Sound for community projects to launching the annual Art Competition and writing an op-ed about finding bipartisan support for our democratic allies, I have been listening to your concerns and fighting to deliver on the issues you care about.
Keeping It Local
This Women’s History Month we honor the many contributions of women in America. But we’re not done.
From child care and paid leave to equal pay and abortion rights, colleagues and I will never stop fighting to deliver for women.
Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) announced that her office will begin accepting submissions for the 2024 Congressional Art Competition. This is an opportunity to recognize, honor, and encourage young artistic talent across the nation.
Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland announced her March Constituent Spotlight, Chris Hyde. Hyde is a long time Olympia resident and the founder of Souper Sunday, a popular Facebook group which aims to give free soup to anyone in need of a healthy and free meal.
