Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) released the following statement in support of a 45-day bipartisan Continuing Resolution to fund the federal government:
“When House Democrats lead, we deliver the vast majority of votes on a bipartisan bill to fund the government and defeat MAGA extremists,” said U.S. Rep Strickland. “Our votes end the uncertainty for American families, service members, workers, seniors, and veterans who rely on critical government services. The American people deserve nothing less than a functioning and effective Congress.”
U.S. Representative Marilyn Strickland serves on the House Armed Services Committee and the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. She is the Congressional Black Caucus whip, a member of the New Democrat Coalition, one of the first Korean-American women elected to Congress, and the first African-American elected to represent the Pacific Northwest at the federal level.
