Lakewood, Washington – Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland (WA-10), released the following statement on the Department of Justice’s announcement:

“Earlier today, the Department of Justice (DOJ) and U.S. Attorney Nick Brown announced the indictment of 27 white supremacists with ties to the Aryan Family for drug and weapons trafficking. I thank federal, state, local law enforcement, and DOJ partners for their work and leadership in holding these drug and gun-smuggling criminals accountable. Their decisive actions will keep our communities safe from fentanyl and methamphetamines that hurt our neighbors and loved ones.”

U.S. Representative Marilyn Strickland serves on the House Armed Services Committee and the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. She is the CBC whip, a member of the New Democrat Coalition, one of the first Korean-American women elected to Congress, and the first African-American elected to represent the Pacific Northwest at the federal level.
