Lacey, WA – Since January 2021, Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland has focused on delivering for families, small businesses, and residents of Washington’s 10th Congressional District. According to an analysis from the United States Congressional Joint Economic Committee, Strickland has advocated for and supported policies that have created 25,000 new jobs and lowered prescription drug costs for 84,000 seniors.

“I ran for Congress to deliver real results for South Sound residents and families,” said Strickland. “I’m proud to have supported policies that are lowering costs, capping the cost of insulin, creating over 25,000 new jobs, and supporting our local economy.”
According to data from the report, Strickland’s support for pro-growth policies have helped the South Sound by:
- Creating over 25,700 jobs since January of 2021, including 900 new manufacturing jobs.
- Helping 14,000 more residents of the district access affordable health care.
- Lowering the cost of prescription drugs for over 84,000 seniors.
- Putting the region on track to create thousands of clean energy jobs to support a sustainable economy.
- Overseeing a record number of over 8,500 applications to start a new business, 2,900 more than the District’s 5,600 per year average.
