**MEDIA ADVISORY** Strickland, AARP to Host Live Tele-Town Hall on Caring for Caregivers

Washington, D.C.On Tuesday, November 16th at 10:30 AM PT/1:30 PM ET, Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) and AARP will hold a live tele-town hall. The town hall will focus on what resources are available now and how we must better support caregivers and families, especially as the House considers the Build Back Better Act. In addition to securing policies like the Child Tax Credit, Strickland has consistently advocated for investments in caregiving infrastructure, co-authoring an op-ed in the Seattle Times on the topic.

Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland serves as Vice Chair of the Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, and is the only African-American woman who serves on the House Armed Services Committee. She is one of the first Korean-American women elected to Congress and the first African-American to represent the Pacific Northwest at the federal level.
