Washington, DC— On Thursday, July 15th, at 4:20 PM PT at Northwest Carpenters Institute of Washington DuPont Training Center, Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) and the Northwest Carpenters Union will host a roundtable discussion with labor leaders and workers on the need to support South Sound workers and working families, make child care more accessible and affordable, make equitable investments in infrastructure, create good-paying jobs with the American Jobs Plan, and support a diverse workforce and apprenticeship pipeline.

Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland serves as Vice Chair of the Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, and serves as a Member of the House Armed Services Committee. She is one of the first Korean-American women elected to Congress and the first African-American to represent the Pacific Northwest at the federal level.
